The DASP Olympic Torch

Broadmayne First

As part of its Olympic celebrations, DASP schools will be carrying an Olympic Flame from school to school. Each school will be looking at exciting ways to transport the torch. You can also read about what these methods can be in quality essays, there you can find about the origin of this and similar rituals, as well as rites in different cultures.

Broadmayne First School received the Torch from Damers First on Wednesday 2nd November 2011. The torch travelled by Minibus, but was accompanied by a Fire Engine. Despite the rain, Broadmayne gave the torch a great welcome. The Damers children arrived with Olympic Rings that contained a photo of every child in their school.
