The DASP Olympic Torch

Cerne Abbas

As part of its Olympic celebrations, DASP schools will be carrying an Olympic Flame from school to school. Each school will be looking at exciting ways to transport the torch. Olympic rings

So Friday 3rd February 2012 brought the DASP Torch to its final journey within DASP. Cerne Abbas First took the Torch to its starting place at St Mary's Charminster in the style we have now got used to with all our schools. Two parents ran with the Torch all the way from Cerne to Charminster. The student representation from Cerne travelled in cars, but with an escort of a Fire Engine. The whole of St Mary's turned out to welcome the Torch 'home'.
