On Monday 9th January 2012, Dorchester Learning Centre gave a fantastic opportunity to Year 4 pupils from Winterbourne Valley for their Torch handover. They handed over the Torch on the quayside at the Portland Sailing Academy, before taking them out for a trip around Weymouth bay in the Centre's boat. In the summer, the Academy will be well and truly involved in the actual Olympics. So this was a fabulous chance for these children to see the area at first hand.

When Winterbourne Valley handed over the torch to Sunninghill the two schools met on top of Maiden Castle and formed human Olympic Rings.
